From design to realization
Our engineers got to work and developed the Cockpit Window Dock / Nose dock: a height-adjustable, mobile work platform that can be used on multiple aircraft types for cockpit window replacement. After the drawings were approved, the dock went into production.
Testing
After manufacturing, the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) took place at our facility in Venray, where functionality and safety were thoroughly checked.
They were particularly enthusiastic about the crane mounted on the platform, which allows the cockpit window to be lifted from the hangar floor into position.
Delivery
The dock was then delivered to Schiphol for the Site Acceptance Test (SAT), where all functions were tested on the aircraft inside the hangar. The dock passed with flying colors.
Our customer is extremely satisfied with this solution—a great example of customization and collaboration!
